Good analysis. I am a frequent visitor to ur blog dude. When u say exile, I thot u may not blog for a month ;). good that I saw a blog next day itself.
Suds, You guys had a good time on V day? Enna adhai pathi sathamey kaanum? The metroplus thingy was neat…though the one in the blog, if I remember right was far more outrageous and (hence) more fun? This one was slightly toned down, but the idea was brillaint! Junta would’ve gotten a glimpse of how lateral you can get! Shelob.
Hi Suderman, read ur previous article on “The Polar Express” in Friday Review.it was good.
this article is also good, but somehow i am not able to picture “The Hindu” publishing it…it doesn’t seem to fit in the image which i have about this newspaper..or maybe,is it time to update my notion.:)
Aloha ! Excuze me, there was this recent documentary on our TV network that showed the awful poverty & starvation in India. It seems that the public are severely malnourished and use the streets as latrines as they cannot afford to construct toilets in their houses. They do not do any useful or contructive work, but spend all their time from 8 am to 8 pm and whatever little money they have for watching Films, TV serials & Beauty paegents, hence they cannot afford to buy food or build toilets for themselves. Thus, the only wealthy people in India are the Film Stars & Beauty Queens who are the only ones that can afford food & have toilets, and thus have the sole privilege of defecating in toilets instead of on the street like the rest of the public. Is this correct ?
Suds, sorry to reply to a comment on your blog. But, Im surprised at that TV thingy. Well, here people’s perception of an Indian has undergone a sea of change. They infact ring the lay-off gong for the natives as soon as they spy a bunch of Indians flaunting a PPT, speaking good unaccented Eng and generally giving the world a run for their money! Hey, nobody has asked me if I was from the land of the snake-charmers! Tis more like, wow, you’re Indian, so you must be educated,(read fit enuf for something beyond the usual retailing jobs) and your country is now everybody’s back-office! Nobody is concerned abt the loos! And well, it is not so bad! Come now, we have come a long way! Or have we? Shelob.
