hey,
nice blog and list (though I disagree with almost everything).
One thing though, Kung Fu Hustle is cantonese/mandarin, and only (probably) english dubbed.
sorry, just nitpicking.
happy new year.
shelob:
happy new year to you too!!
π
and how can i be my own favourite? even if i was allowed to, i dont figure anywhere in the top 5 of my list… I set my standards of criticism a lil high… wil be a long while before i get there. but i have a long time to go as well!

reva:
Personal favourites are meant to reflect my taste and in no way a judgement based only on cinematic merit!
aravind:
thanks a ton mate!
wish you a very happy new year too!
antipix:
of course, kung fu hustle, though picked up by American studios, is mandarin and english dubbed…
but that was the idea… thats why i gave it the originality award in Tamil too!
it just goes on to say I dont think Hollywood or Tamil cinema has produced any outstanding original work of English cinema.
and thanks! π

What abt ‘Kana Kandein’ – surely a pretty decent movie … of course if there was a best villain award it should go to Prithviraj for this movie..Or can we make it the best heroic villain… check out the movie if you havent!! Surely worth it!!
Sudhish, Thanks for the mention.
Sudhish — king kongna ivalo ishtama!!!
why does saif gets a loser award? Because he wears pink?? All his 2005 releases (parineeta, Salaam) are hits.

port paithyam, shelob.
sudhish, please, vendamnna enkitta kuduthidu….
poor mallika, poor sudhish π
sudhish, surely the most humorous review of the year must be shared between Sudhish’s blog review of Kisna and Sins. Had a tough time convincing my colleagues that I had not gone insane :-). Reproducing the best paragraph of the year in any movie review anywhere in the world:
“Priest meets girl, does ‘matter’ with her, feels bad, but does ‘matter’ again, and again, girl gets admission to college, does ‘matter’ again, passes out of college, does ‘matter’ again, visits him in church, does ‘matter’ there too … goes to his house, does matter again and again and again and when people start talking about it, Priest gets her married on the condition that she will not ‘matter’ with her dummy husband, and then continues to do ‘matter’ with her again, girl feels bad, but she still does ‘matter’ with him yet again, priest becomes obsessed, does ‘matter’ with her like an animal, girl wants to escape and falls in love with her husband, they do ‘matter’ secretly, they escape, do ‘matter’ again, priest kills ‘matter’ girl’s mother, gets the girl killed and goes to jail.”
Boy, you cant better that yourself π
what does ReshMaChoudhary translate to?
Sudhish– kandipa maatum..illana maata vechidlam!
@raj: have u read his “Constantine” review? thats one of his best π
ramya:
welcome to suderworld.
π
shelob:
someone ordered for it. im just the delivery boy.
rapunzel:
no, u thot i actually enjoy watching her making out with another man??
π
raj:
touchitinga! thanks!
anonymous:
i dunno! what you thot Im an authority on all things explicit π
princess:
thanks for the assurance. now, i would like to see some action. π
@anonymous:
thanks for that mention.. I thot u were kidding cuz I had forgotten until I read it again. I like it. π It was pretty neat indeed. thank you.
