Yesterday was really special. Super special.
It marked the end of a journey that’s taken over six years. I would like to believe I’m done shooting for That Four Letter Word.
Yes, yesterday was the last day of shoot. Now I think I have every bit of footage I need (of course given the constraints of budget) to finish the movie.
I wanted to post a long, elaborate thanksgiving note but I guess I’ll save that for later. Too tired and maybe a little too early considering that we still need to finish the final cut of the edit and wrap up dubbing by the end of the month. Looks like I’ll have a movie on my hands by mid-February. And once its done, I might have to write a bible if I were to mention every single person who has contributed to get us here. I hope to do that too post premiere.
For now, I got to get back to work on the movie.
Just wanted to share my relief and happiness at having completed the entire shoot, including patch work this time.

Over the last 6 years, I was tempted to belive that your dream movie would never make it (given the obstacles you have had to face and the number of times you had to re-shoot) but i continued to belive you could. Afterall thats what you did to bring Enigma to life.

6 years, 1.5 years a letter in the 4 letter word, really shows that you have patience, will, craziness and as sekkappan put it “Perseverance pays” da. As you know, I would not appriciate you normally, but this time, kalakku machi…I don’t think I would be in India to watch it in theaters, but I promise to buy the DVD or the PPV if telecasted (and not thirrutu VCD or dumeel downloads) and yes get working on the thanking bible too..after feb :)…

I honestly think madras should be somewhere in the list. The city is happening, we have a sizeable population of great writers and dho not as fanatic as mumbaiites, we display gentle fanatism for the place. Hi I happened oread your review on E of ER, today!!! I also read another review where our author called it a “loser of a movie” ! Wow! Funny how opinions differ but in such contrast, I see it for the first time!!! Besides, who would take his gf on a date to watch a horror flick??!!
