Yeah, I know. My blog is getting a little too heavy with gyaan. So I thought I’ll talk about something more er… lighter – Women!
I often wonder. More today than ever before.
What is it about women that attracts us towards them?
Let’s face it, as much as we might pretend to run after that elusive “hawt chick,” the truth is that we don’t really give a damn about statistics (they aren’t always vital) or biology (yeah, anatomy is interesting but not always) as much as we care about the chemistry (How I wish Sushmita Sen was my chemistry teacher too! *Sigh*) or physics (Love: Matter can neither be created nor destroyed).
Men like women. Period. Men do not need a reason. They find the quietest girl cute and even the most talkative girl sweet. They call the roundest girl ‘teddy’ and the littlest girl ‘baby.’
Contrary to their strongest belief, breasts aren’t always the things men look for in a girl. In fact, men even find flat-chested women hawt. Look at the ‘top’ most anorexic models, men drool over them as much as they drool over Pamela Andersons’!
Men like women who give them tons of attitude and they even like women who are actually angels that dropped by to make the world a better place.
Men like women irrespective of what clothes they wear and even when they aren’t really wearing much.
We like them when they are exactly the opposite of us. Or even when they are just like us.
Men simply like, they do not really discriminate on the basis of colour, height or sense of humour… or sex as long as the gender is right (we’re talking about straight men!).
Okie, men don’t like all women (hello, but women don’t like most men!) but then, men surely like more women than the number of men women actually like.
I’m pretty convinced it’s not just lust. Because lust has to do with physical appearance. And men know that at kissing distance, any girl looks hawt. But then when you kiss, your eyes are closed anyway (unless you are doing something like what Shahid and Kareena did, to make headlines).
So what is it about women that attracts us? What is it that excites us when we are with them? That wants to make us hold their soft tender hands. That makes us want to talk to them, spend time with them or just be with them. What is it?
Well, it’s mysterious. And I think THAT… I mean THAT mystery, THAT enigma that makes a woman, teases us, fascinates us, enlightens us and is what makes it exciting for us. It’s the process of figuring them out, the journey of discovery of the woman, girl and the baby in them that brings us great joy and a little sorrow but then… what is joy when you don’t know the meaning of sorrow.
Ha! There! I’m back to my Vanilla Sky “the-sweet-is-never-as-sweet-without-the-sour” line. So my question now is: What is it about us men that women find so attractive? He he! 😀

like a friend of mine once said-men have a ‘main door'(pun intended???), where they unconsciously choose a woman who’s the stay-at-home types, and then a number of windows and side-doors where they get to choose the women with the vital stats et al.and men categorise women into two categories “used” and “un-used” (read:therefore usable).thats all the “mystery” to it, if you ask me. oh yeah, and men like to play the hunters;-)but the good thing is women these days are getting so much more adventurous than men!!so happy holidaying everybody!!

This post is interesting. I thought the most interesting was that breasts aren’t really that important. If that is so, why is it that many male friends make a big deal about the size of women’s breasts? Am I just hanging around with the wrong type of guy? And if they talk about it and you tell them that you wish they wouldn’t go on and on about it, yet they continue, is it alright to smack them?
Please advise oh expert of male behaviour! I would be interested to hear what you could add to make it more understandable…

Whoa Whoa!! Hold it right there ..These are YOUR thoughts on women , and since it is your blog , you have every right to air your own thoughts . But , IMHO , you cannot generalise a line such as ‘ breasts aren’t always the things men look for in a girl’. I , for one, will NEVER EVER get physically attracted to a flat chested dame. Apologies to all women who fall in this category , but I prefer to be brutally frank .

these days there are also many women who have main doors and windows! so we cant generalise and say all contemporary women are like that…

Well, all guys talk about breasts. they are fascinated by them just like how women are turned on by intelligence or some times, just a nice ass… but that does not really always determine who they go out with, does it?
I never once in my blog say that men don’t talk about breasts. It’s all part of growing up and some men don’t like to grow up and i dont think there’s anythign wrong with that!

one, either the guy or the girl gets bored after they start figuring out each other or two, they just continue to love the process of figuring out each other that they just indulge in… for a life time or at least till the point they can make the interest last!

Hmmm.. after trying a zillion times to post a comment about one of your earlier posts, I simply gave up on Blogger. But this post was good enough to start the trying again and Blogger decided to give me some cycle gap today. And I am prone to do, I decided to float a titanic-esque liner here. Anyways, I am looking for the same answer i.e. to the the question in the last line. But I do have extra gyaan for you. Most of guys are challenged as far romance goes and so we tend to look at what seems to be in plain sight, or under cover for that reason. The rest of us, get a zillion women falling for them, by the sweet talk. So, I guess the answer to your question is in plain sight – the attributes of a glib talker. But sometimes, even that does not work. So I will be watching this space to see if one of the ladies reading this post comes up with the right answer. But don’t you agree with this cliche – that gals fall for the most undeserving of guys?
